Buckthorn Removal August 23rd – 31st
Buckthorn invasive species removal will be taking place at various public locations around the town. The removal will be done by inmates from the McNaughton Correctional Facility and Three Lakes’ Natural Resources Sub-Committee. Locations include the Three Lakes Historical Society grounds; Three Lakes School; Don Burnside Park; Maple Lake/Maple Lake Boat Landing area; and the Reiter Center. Members of the Natural Resources Sub Committee will also be asking permission of landowners in the Sanitary District to remove buckthorn from their property during this time.
